New Internet ticketing software to assist Hartlepool’s management after promotion
Newly promoted Hartlepool United commences the 2003/2004 football season with the benefit of upgrading to Seatbooker’s integrated box office ticketing software and system.
Technical Manager, Ian McRae said, "A key factor in our decision to sign with Seatbooker was their ability to seamlessly integrate Internet ticketing to our website and their clear leadership in web technology and processing systems." Hartlepool’s new ticketing service combines the best of match day ticketing, season ticket management and customer database to provide a single e-commerce solution. Seatbooker are credited with providing the country’s only system where clubs can make their tickets available across multiple sales routes all from a single inventory of tickets
The ticketing system, using Seatbooker’s Managed Service, provides the club with all the benefits of an in-house ticketing system without the capital cost and responsibility for IT. As part of the contract, Seatbooker provide the hardware and specialist communications to deliver the software, in exchange for a management service fee. The Managed Service, already used by a range of the country’s football, rugby and other leisure venues, removes the need to operate expensive servers on-site. All central IT hardware is taken care of by Seatbooker, leaving the club free to focus on their core business.
Ian McRae continued, “The Club have been using Seatbooker for several years but as they have continuously lowered the cost of ticketing systems using new and innovative delivery systems, we made the decision to upgrade to their latest system. In our case we connect to the hosted servers using a broadband Internet connection".
We can now obtain the same benefits that much larger counterparts such as Tottenham Hotspur have received for years.
