Queen's Park Rangers the first to sell season tickets online

Season tickets are often renewed online. However, what happens is the customer fills in a form on the Internet and this then gets sent to the club and processed after re-entry of data. Queens Park Rangers are using a new breed of ticketing software, allowing renewals with re-keying. Fans are immediately identified when logging on which results in the club getting "cleaner" data as the fan ensures what is entered is correct.

A Seatbooker spokesman said, "As always, we are light years ahead of the alternatives. You will soon be able to use our graphical technology to renew season tickets, purchase new or additional season tickets, move your seat and place yourself on the waiting list for a better seat. All of this will be handled without manual intervention, which is the key to speed and lower cost."

Queen's Park Rangers has been successfully using the Seatbooker match ticketing system, despite having a box office system from another vendor. A source close to the club said they just got fed up waiting for their existing ticketing system supplier to deliver a usable product and they had seen others try and fail.

The feedback from club supporters has been exceptional and rates of use far exceed other suppliers online ticketing systems for sport. Independent research has shown Seatbooker to be on of the fastest purchasing systems on the Internet, and excelled over all other systems used in football.
