Internet View-From-Seat ticketing system goes live

The first Internet ticketing system, with "view-from-seat™" technology, went live today, completely integrating a box office and Internet ticketing.

A UK ticketing software world first combined with an English Premiership football club, resulted in 155,000 page impressions on the first day. The excitement was a result of the use of view-from-seat™ real-time ticketing system for Tottenham Hotspur.

This is believed to be the UK's first implementation of e-commerce where all sales channels use the same real-time database of customers, events and tickets. Use of the view-from-seat™ technology allows ticket buyers to see the actual view of the pitch in a high quality panoramic graphic. The graphic allows you to zoom in and out, pan left and right and then to decide if you are happy with the chosen seat or to try one in a different location.

David Bulcher, Tottenham Hotspur vice-chairman, speaking at the press conference last week said, "This is a great innovation. It's good for the fans and good for the club. Tottenham Hotspur will be the first UK football club to use Internet e-commerce in an integrated fashion."

Seatbooker CTO Philip Baldwin praised his staff saying, "We have developed, implemented and operate systems that are market focused, innovative and user friendly. This is the first in a unique series of new products and services and our only constraint now is cash. When we find the investment we need, there will be no stopping us."
